Ron Rathbun Ron Rathbun became a serious photographer when he retired from his job as a hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey in 1997. He is self-taught, improving his skills through studying the works of professional photographers. His interests include landscapes and wildlife, but he will photograph anything that he finds interesting on his hikes and trips in the western United States.
