Ellen Nelson

Ellen Nelson is a seasoned Evergreen-based photographer whose career spans photojournalism, portraits, and commercial work. She holds both the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation and a Master of Photography (M.Photog) degree. Her award-winning images have been published around the world. Since 2018, she has been an artist at The Majestic Gallery, where she focuses on capturing the beauty of local wildlife and mountain landscapes. Ellen recently earned a gold medal in the Professional Photographers of America’s highly competitive 2025 International Photographic Competition and received the prestigious Jack Avalos Memorial Trophy for photographic excellence. She was also named the “Top Sports Photographer” on Team USA for her rodeo image at the internationally acclaimed 2025 World Photographic Cup.
