Polly White

Polly has always been inspired by anything wood and especially enjoys the textures and grains in wood found traipsing along streams, forests, and the high country in Colorado like cottonwood bark, aspen, and bristlecone pine. She has been an active member of the Colorado Carvers Club for over 20 years and enjoys both teaching and taking carving classes at woodcarving events throughout Colorado and neighboring states. Polly finds teaching the art of woodcarving adds as much to her own growth as to the students.
Whimsical wood spirits are a favorite to carve. Scandinavian lore speaks of spirits in forests – those we can generally feel but rarely see except in the quick glimpse of a light casting a shadow. They are said to bring good luck!
