Sebnem Duzgun
Spending summers with my family in Fethiye, Turkey, I have always found a deep sense of peace and inspiration along the Mediterranean coast. The vivid colors of the sea, the rugged coastline, and the warmth of the natural surroundings have influenced the way I see and interpret the world.
My work as an international mining engineer has allowed me to develop a close relationship with the earth. I have worked with rocks, soils, and minerals across different continents, and over time, I have come to appreciate their textures, forms, and quiet strength. This connection is reflected in my sculptures, where each piece tells its own story.
Every element in my work is carefully chosen and thoughtfully placed. The forms and patterns emerge from a place of intuition and experience, rather than imitation. The finished sculptures are unique compositions that stand on their own, shaped by both nature and memory.
